Lucky Hare Shears
Sakai SK-12
The Sakai is Lucky Hare’s premium shear line that stands side by side with any shear on the market regardless of price. The Sakai shears takes the best features from the both the popular Vachi shears and the best selling Katana shear line to the next level of durability and smoothness of cut by being forged and crafted from the finest Hatachi Japanese cobalt stainless steel. Subtle differences in the design of the blades and handles also gives the Sakai its own special identity for feel, balance, and cutting dynamics that consistently give rise to glowing reviews and feedback.
Blade Design: The cutting blades are forged and finely polished into the traditional and popular Japanese convex edge and are hollow-ground on the inside of each blade to give a razor sharp cutting action day in and day out.
Handle Design: The handles are “offset” for holding the shears in a more natural and comfortable hand position. This puts less stress on the thumb tendon and helps reduce the risk of repetitive motion CTS.
Adjusting System: Our popular dial-spring-leaf-tension system allows for easy adjustment without a tool and holds the desired tension setting securely.
Removable Finger Rest: The finger rest is removable to suit a wider variety of cutting styles. Remove as needed by simply unscrewing the finger rest.
Sculptured Handle: The shank of the handle has been contoured to provide a “groove” for the middle finger and the index finger to create more control and feel.
Cutaway Contoured Thumb Hole: This style of thumb grip has a subtle contouring at the back of the thumb ring. This allows the stylist to comfortably open the scissor using only the side of their thumb.
Anatomic Thumb Hole: This style of thumb grip has a slight bend at the back of the thumb ring for a subtle added effect to the comfort and "feel" of the shear. This allows the stylist to comfortably open the scissor using only the side of their thumb.
Available Lengths: Length is measured from tip to end of longest handle without regard to finger rest. Lengths of 5.5"
